Every piece is carefully wrapped in protective materials and placed in a sturdy box to ensure it arrives safely. I take extra care since ceramics are fragile -- each item is individually cushioned.

Product Care
Yes, all my stoneware ceramics are food safe -- with the exception of pieces with a crackle glaze finish, which are intended for decorative use only. Product pages clearly indicate if an item is not food safe.
Yes, my high-fired stoneware is dishwasher safe. The exception is crackle glaze pieces, which should be hand-washed only. While the dishwasher is perfectly fine, hand washing will help preserve the glaze finish for longer.
Yes, my stoneware ceramics are microwave safe for reheating food and beverages. Avoid putting pieces with metallic or gold decoration in the microwave. As with any ceramic, avoid sudden temperature changes -- do not move a piece directly from the freezer to the microwave.
Stoneware is durable and built to last with everyday use. Avoid sudden temperature changes (thermal shock) such as pouring boiling water into a cold mug straight from the fridge. Store pieces with care to avoid chipping -- stacking with a soft cloth between items helps. For crackle glaze pieces, hand wash gently and avoid prolonged soaking.
Very durable. My stoneware is high-fired at over 1200°C, making it dense, strong, and resistant to everyday wear. With proper care, handmade stoneware ceramics can last a lifetime.
General
Every ALAMM piece is made entirely by hand, which means each one is unique. Small variations in shape, colour, glaze, and texture are a natural part of the handmade process -- not defects. This is what gives handcrafted ceramics their character and warmth.

Yes, all glazes I use are non-toxic and free from lead and cadmium. My food-safe stoneware pieces are tested and safe for everyday use with food and beverages.
